Holly-Hunter

Holly Hunter was an American actress who became famous in the film Broadcast News The Firm The Piano The Incredibles. She has won several awards for her work and has even won an Oscar. At a young age she began playing on stage for several Broadway or Off-Broadway shows. The actress is a lover of acting since she started school. The first time she appeared in a production in fifth grade was as Helen Keller. When she was in the fifth grade following a bout of mumps, she lost her hearing in the left ear. However, she did not let that stop her. When she was a teenager, she was a drama student in college before moving to New York City from Pittsburgh to pursue her ambitions. Hunter was trapped in the elevator of the playwright Beth Henley when she met her. Together they created Broadway Crimes of the Heart which marked Hunter's Broadway debut. As she settled in Los Angeles, she began looking for roles in films. She landed one as an actress who played the leading character Swing Shift. Since then she has appeared in a variety of shows and TV films over a career spanning more than three decades. Holly Hunter received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and she also received an award called the Women in Film Lucy Award.
